OverviewThis
is a nifty little utility to help generate traffic to your
site. It allows your viewers to send an invitation to a friend
to come and visit your site!
The user enters the e-mail
address of the person they are inviting, they enter their
e-mail address and name and then send the form off to invite
their friend! If they want to add a personalized message to
the invitation, they can do that too.
This script has only been
tested on a Unix server and requires two directories, one is
in the cgi-bin/cgi directory on your server, the other is in a
separate directory. Even if you can run scripts anywhere on
your server I still recommend you use separate directories for
the scripts and data files.
This program uses attack_guard_V1.0
for security. There are three files with this program, you can
view two of them here as text only versions or you can
download a complete zip
file.

The program allows you to
create a "Canned Message" that will be sent with
every invitation. Simply call the program with
"?admin" at the end of it and you'll be taken to the
update form. Enter your canned message, enter your password
and press the button to have your "Canned Message"
created/updated instantly!
