Virtual Business Cards
Overview
This script is a terrific
traffic booster! Sites use this script as a giveaway service
for visitors. Every time one of the Virtual Business Cards is
displayed, that sites domain is displayed! You can easily add
in your own graphics/banners/logo's so that your site is even
more prominently displayed!
Description
This program is very easy to
set up and run with only two scripts. All you have to do is
change eight variables, create two directories then load and
CHMOD the scripts and it's ready to roll! The program allows
people to choose from a variety of three business card
formats; thirteen background textures; sixteen background
colours; five fonts for text; sixteen text colours or they can
specify their own text colour!
After making their
selections and entering their text they then preview their
Virtual Business Card. If they want to change anything, click
the "Back" button and make the changes. If they are
happy with what they see then they click the "Post"
button and it's all done! After the post, the viewer is
presented with a results page that lists their Virtual
Business Card URL. This is a hard URL and not a CGI URL. That
is, the URL will be in the form of:
http://www.foo.com/business_cards/username.html
The user can send this link or
post this link anywhere they want and it will always remain
available unless YOU delete it!
